This project consisted of extensive reroofing that included membrane roof substrate installation, cladding replacements, and a new metal roofing finished with complex flashings. During this project, we faced both national and international supply issues due to COVID, as well as following Government protocols to keep our team, the students and staff of the school healthy and safe. Three days prior to construction, Southcoast were advised the shrinkwrap would not be able to be delivered, resulting in a full replan of project before construction could commence. After the completion of the Hall, Southcoast were tasked with additional works that included a complete bathroom refurbishment and upgrades to the fire security systems. New Plymouth Girls’ High School Principal, Jacqui Brown, described our work and company culture, “The whole team were friendly, personable, and incredibly professional in their interactions with staff, and we felt they went the extra mile to make this experience pleasant for us.
