Our team is led by directors Ross Lewis and Mitchell Smith, both of whom began their careers on the tools, gaining valuable experience in the field before stepping into key leadership roles within the company. With years of hands-on experience as builders, they have a deep understanding of the challenges and intricacies of the construction process. Their dedication, hard work, and expertise have played a pivotal role in shaping Southcoast Construction’s success and growth. From their roots on-site to their leadership today, Ross and Mitchell are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, integrity, and client satisfaction at every level of the business.

  • Southcoast completed a multi-building roofing and weathertightness project with us in 2022. The scale and complexity of this project challenged all involved but Southcoast were always a reassuring presence. Classes were in operation throughout this project, and communication from Southcoast was always clear and timely which allowed us to make any necessary minor adjustments to school events. Given the nationwide supply issues, there were inevitably some interruptions to work plans, but Southcoast’s clear communication and flexibility meant that the project was completed with minimal fuss or delay. The whole team were friendly, personable, and incredibly professional in their interactions with staff, and we felt they went the extra mile to make this experience pleasant for us.   • Southcoast made the successful transition to take over as Main Contractor as Mainzeal went into receivership in early 2013. Since then Southcoast has successfully delivered the project, incorporating significant additional scope and undertaking removal of asbestos present in all facades of the building that had not originally been identified by the design consultants. The good relationship level of communication Southcoast had with the court staff greatly helped this process.
